The [RARE]EARTH initiative was born on Bali, Indonesia in 2014 when Bas and Christa Verhart saw the many pollution challenges of this beautiful island. "Sometimes we need to travel far to see what is actually close bye. What are we doing to our nature and the planet we live on? We take its beauty for granted, we take its resources and at the same time we look away from all the terrible things happening to it." this was on Bas' mind who is an entrepreneur and educator.
"The only way to change life on the planet, is to start with ourself. Start with your inner strength and healing. If was change our daily life choices, we can collectively make a huge different. For that we need to tap into the collective intelligence and creativity and rise our collective intelligence." said Chris to herself who is an total wellbeing expert and medical doctor.
Back home they started developing [RARE]EARTH. Home is Amsterdam, the Netherlands, one of the most creative places on the planet. It has a vast history of culture, innovation and trade. For the 17th century explorations that brought the golden age to a vibrant creative and tech scene it has today.
[RARE]EARTH is all about human connectivity and creativity. We will take a unique approach by combining the respective strengths of the creative industry, tech world and the social impact sector and harnessing a worldwide network of innovators to embrace the connection to mother earth and to reimage a future society in which we tackle some of the bigger planetary challenges.
We have have to collectively rise our level of consciousness so we can act as one to shape our beautiful future.
